The Shipboard Chef is a multi-media strategy supporting a new concept in entertainment and information,
employing multiple media outlets about cooking and living aboard luxury yachts. This subject and content appeals to a broad audience base and consisting of cooks, people who like to eat, boaters, travelers, and individuals who enjoy exposure to the “rich and famous” lifestyle.
The cornerstone of the concept involves a weekly TV program which features one or more selected luxury yachts, highlighting the chef aboard, his/her meals, the lifestyle/history of the yacht, its ports of call and other elements.
While similar successful food-based programs have been offered featuring restaurants and chefs (such as “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives” hosted by Food Network’s celebrity chef Guy Fieri), none has ever been done where the restaurant “moves” as a yacht’s galley does. This poses both particular challenges, and special excitement because the viewer is treated to more than just a cooking show – they can participate in a lifestyle most don’t even know exist, and learn about locations that are exotic and exciting.
Corinne Gregory Fiske is the host of The Shipboard Chef. Corinne brings her engaging personality, sense of humor and love for food, people and the sea to the program. As she travels around the world profiling fascinating yachts, their owners and crew, she’ll be sharing with the audience tantalizing meals, impeccable service, local culture, customs and ingredients…and many funny stories along the way.
The plan for this site is that it is not only a support resource for the program, but that it becomes a living community where visitors can engage, discuss, and participate in the mega-yacht lifestyle so few will ever experience!
